Overview

Rantavo ("Rantavo", "we", "us") is a relocation salary and cost-of-living comparison tool operated by Powerzam Studio. This policy explains what information we collect when you use rantavo.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service. Rantavo is a decision-support tool, not a source of tax, financial, legal, or immigration advice.

You can use the core tool without an account

Running a salary comparison, viewing country and city data, and asking a limited number of AI questions do not require signing up. In this mode, your comparison inputs are sent to our server to run the calculation and are not linked to an identity. Your comparison history and theme preference are saved only in your browser's local storage - we do not receive or store them on our servers unless you create an account and explicitly save a comparison.

Information we collect if you create an account

If you sign up (email/password, or Google Sign-In), we collect and store:

Account information: your name, email address, and, if you use Google Sign-In, the basic profile information Google provides (name, email, profile photo). We do not receive your Google password.

Session information: standard technical data needed to keep you signed in, such as an authentication token, IP address, and browser/device information.

Comparisons you choose to save: the salary, city, and country figures you enter, and the resulting calculation, so you can revisit them later.

Negotiation reports and AI questions: if you generate a negotiation report or ask the AI deep-dive assistant a question, the relevant comparison context and the AI's response are stored against your account so you can revisit them. We do not use this content to train AI models.

Billing information: if you subscribe to Rantavo Pro, payment is handled entirely by our payment processor, Creem. We never see or store your card details - we only receive your subscription status and renewal date from Creem to unlock pro features on your account.

Share links

If you create a share link for a comparison, anyone with that link's unique, unguessable web address can view a read-only snapshot of that comparison. Free-tier and anonymous share links expire after 30 days; pro share links do not expire until you are no longer a pro subscriber. Share links are not indexed or listed publicly - only people you send the link to can view it.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers or analytics scripts on rantavo.com. We share information only with the service providers ("processors") that run the product on our behalf:

Cloudflare - hosts our website, server, and database on its global network.

Fireworks AI - processes the comparison context you send to the AI deep-dive assistant in order to generate a response. Messages are sent for the purpose of generating that one response.

Creem - our merchant of record for pro subscriptions and handles all payment processing and card data.

We may also disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Rantavo, our users, or the public.

Data retention and deletion

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and its associated saved comparisons and reports at any time from within the app. If you'd rather we do it for you, email us at [email protected].

International data transfers

Rantavo's infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's global network, which may process data in countries other than your own. Our processors (Cloudflare, Fireworks AI, Creem) are contractually required to protect your information consistent with this policy.

Children

Rantavo is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (viewing, editing, or deleting saved comparisons and your account), or by emailing [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
